Community Service Committee
The Community Service Ministry is chaired by Joanne Pentsos. Our church is currently involved in supporting two service groups in the Rossford/Toledo area.
All Saints Food Pantry
Our church collects various food and hygine items on a monthly basis for the food pantry which is located at All Saints Catholic Church in Rossford, OH. We also take up a money collection on the last Sunday of each month for the food pantry. For the month of March 2010, we are collecting peanut butter and jelly in whatever quantities one can afford to donate. Please check here on a monthly basis to find out what we are collecting for that month. If you want to participate in this you can bring your offerings to St. George.
Monroe Neighborhood Center
This agency runs two programs to provide clothing for men and women who are working, looking for work, and lack the appropriate dress attire for the job. The men's program is called Dress Right and the women's is called Suitable Attire. We are now collecting the following business attire for these two programs:
Dress Right for Men: Suits, Pants, Shirts, Ties, Shoes, Casual attire, Socks, (no jeans or sneakers)
Suitable Attire for Women: Dresses, Pant suits, Blouses, Purses, Jewelry, Casual attire (no jeans or sneakers)
If you have anything at home from this above list that you don't need and would like to donate, please bring those items to the church here in Rossford. We will deliver them to the Neighborhood Center. We will be given special donation forms that we can give to you if you want to claim any of these donations on your yearly tax return.
